The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and may shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home having a combined gross residence income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family cash flow will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to supply the right Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
